It’s July 2. Or 3rd. And like me, you’re scrambling at the last minute looking for some swanky new recipes for the 4th of July BBQ Bash.
If you’re on top of things and already have an excel spreadsheet typed up mapping your recipes, shopping list, food prep, and what you’re going to wear, I don’t think we can be friends. Because I’m last minute to the bone. In fact, didn’t you hear? Being prepared is SO last year.
Well prepared or not, these ridiculously delicious looking 4th of July recipes are your best bet to get those head turning looks from your neighbors who you (admit it) are totally trying to make jealous of your culinary talents.
1. S’mores Layer Cake
Hello there, lover. Come here often? Oh sorry. I’ve been known to flirt with cakes. But seriously, isn’t this AMAZING? Love it. Want it. Will eat it. Get the recipe.
2. Skillet S’mores
Yes, let’s keep talkin’ dessert. Who wouldn’t want to dip into this? Get the recipe.
3. Aloha BBQ Sliders
There’s something about juicy mini burgers that seems so free and noncommittal. Maybe I’ll have one. Or two. Who’s counting? Get the juicy recipe.
4. Best Ever Boozy Fruit Salad
Be honest. Did you even care what was said after the word booze? Me neither. This looks so fresh and perfect for a summer BBQ. And Anetta from The Wanderlust Kitchen has always got some tasty looking things to share. Get the recipe.
5. Easy Feta Dip
Forget the French onion dip. Mix it up a little! Get the recipe.
6. Marinated Vegetable Salad
Tangy with a slight crunch, marinated in a red wine vinaigrette. You won’t even care that it’s healthy. Ya just gotta trust me on this one. Get the recipe.
7. Salsa Criolla
Salsa Criolla is a Peruvian condiment where the red onions are marinated in lime juice. They are unbelievable on burgers, steaks, and chicken. A great way to add flavor to your everyday BBQ party! Get the recipe.
8. Watermelon Lime Chiller
Nothing says hot summer days like watermelon! Get the recipe and then let’s toast to summer.
9. 4th of July Mocktail for the Kiddos

10. Patriotic Pudding Cups
Another great fun treat for the kids and childish adults like me. Get the recipe.
I hope you get a chance to try some of these. And who says you have to wait until July 4th for s’mores? Shoot, I’ll eat those for breakfast.
What are your favorite 4th of July recipes? Do you have any that stand out as tried and true favorites?
